AZEEM AHMAD

Azeem is a business transformation professional with over 20 years of industry experience.  His accomplishments range from the most extensive strategy implementations to the minutest details pursuing operational excellence with cutting-edge technologies. His successes result from emphasis on systemic methods that focus on goals, objectives, and results.  Azeem has practiced the art and science of Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP), integrating across internal corporate departments, as well as across entire logistical networks of suppliers, distributors, and customers.

Azeem has taken on challenging implementation initiatives for 2 decades while working across 3 continents.  He has administered engagements with Accenture, Bain, and BCG in various operational excellence projects.  For Dell Computer Corporation, he directed and integrated its Go-to-Market processes by applying innovative technologies.  During Covid-19, he reshaped Dell’s global supply chain by mitigating regional and country risks and facilitating the salesforce to pursue emergent opportunities, growing Dell Consumer sales by 67% year-over-year.

Prior to ConfluCore, and for over 2 decades, Azeem has been among the early pioneers of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Executive Support Systems.  He implemented these futuristic technologies as fresh initiatives at client businesses enhancing their operational efficiencies manifolds.  His Machine Learning models for pricing and demand planning have enhanced consumer profitability by 1.4% and increased forecast accuracy by 4%.

Azeem has earned dual master’s degrees; MS in Information Systems, and MBA with majors in Finance and Marketing.  He attended the Wharton Executive Programs on Business Insights, Data Analytics, and more.  He has developed and delivered advanced courses for training client teams in Planning, Forecasting, Sales Strategies, and Strategic Implementation.  He has received many professional awards and industry honors – like the Michael Dell Award – and has delivered Keynotes worldwide at various supply chain and advanced technology forums.

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST TRANSFORMATION YOU HAVE BEEN A PART OF?

Having led many customer-facing operations and linking these successfully with corporate strategies every time, modesty binds me to share examples of success. One had global reach included integrating Strategy, Operations, and Marketing for one of the world’s Top-3 IT company that generated 2% gains in its worldwide profitability.  This was a momentous realization for the global leader.

WHAT CHALLENGES DO YOU MOST ENJOY HELPING CLIENTS ADDRESS?

Having immersed in many departments, divisions, and functions, I believe the 21st century initiatives should go beyond compartmentalization and verticals; we must strive for integration successively at every level.  ConfluCore emphasizes confluence at its core, and I enjoy assisting clients in seeing the big picture and take a confluent approach in connecting the dots that generate synergy.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE DOING IN YOUR FREE/PERSONAL TIME?

I enjoy sports and get-togethers with family and friends. We enjoy kid’s sports, grilling, and touring places we have not visited before.  I also soar and have solo glider pilot rating.  Regularly, I volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels, engaging in community service to give back.
